I’m a third-year PhD student in biological chemistry. I moved here for grad school from Edmonton, Alberta.

What are you researching?

I’m working on developing single molecule protein sequencing technology.

What impact do you hope to have on your field and / or your community?

This would be the first integration of a functional ATPase (a class of enzyme) into solid machinery. Hopefully opening the field for new innovation in biotech.

How has the 3MT helped you with your professional development?

It’s been a great exercise in communicating complex research to non-experts.
